“It may pain a little but do not worry, it's not something to worry about as the pain will disappear in no time,” Cathy warned Sussan once and started the procedure. She closed her eyes and started to chant some magical words with her hands on top of Sussan’s head. A layer of pinkish blue fog surrounded her, exactly resembling the sky above them. “You both can let go of her hands now. She is in a half-asleep state and you could be a hindrance to me,” Cathy said and asked them to move away from Sussan. She swiftly created a dome around them to hide Sussan’s shiny glow from everyone’s prying eyes. Then she took out a bottle of magical potion and sprayed the content on top of Sussan’s head. “Let her rest for some time. She should wake up in an hour. If everyone is done with dinner then hit the bed. We will start early tomorrow morning and leave from here,” Cathy said and entered the dome to keep an eye on Sussan’s progress. When David and Brenda tried to enter the dome, Cathy closed it before they could even set foot inside it. “You both wait outside! You will only cause disturbance while I am working hard to get her memory back,” Cathy said with a stern voice. Brenda and David looked at one another but did not revert at Cathy. They sat in front of the dome and waited for Cathy to finish the procedure and also for Sussan to wake up. After a minute of silence, Brenda started the conversation to drive away from the awkwardness. “It’s a long day and I never expected to come across such a thing like this,” Brenda said. “...” David stared at the dome and did not say anything to her. So, Brenda asked him with a straight face, “Who do you think placed the memory mask on her?” “How would I know? I wonder why you did not notice it before about her memory masking?” David asked her. Brenda repeated his words and said, “How would I know? I never expected someone would be brave enough to place masking on her memory so easily.” “How do you know that it would have been easy?” David questioned her and confused her at the same time. “Then… Then… Is it you, who placed the spell on her?” Brenda asked him with her mouth wide open. “No! How can I and why would I? I didn’t even know that her memory was masked until you mentioned it. Moreover, I am not born with magical powers unlike you all. I learned magic out of interest after meeting Sussan,” David told her. “I believe you. You did put hard work into learning magic to protect your family. But then do you know or have any idea about who could have placed the memory mask on her?” Brenda asked him. David did not reply to her immediately. He stared at the dome in front of them for quite some time and then slowly said, “Who else do you think would have placed the memory mask other than…” He stopped speaking and looked straight into her eyes. Brenda noticed his glance at her and shook her shoulders. “It’s not me!” Brenda hastily shook her head from one side to another to clear her name. “I am not talking about you. Rather, I can only think of one person who was capable of doing such a thing to her,” David once again spoke in a puzzling way and confused Brenda once again. “Stop adding fuel to my already muddled brain and just be open with that name. I am too eager to know that name now,” Brenda impatiently said and punched the ground.  David gazed at her once and then glanced at the dome in front of him. He laid down on the muddy ground with his hands below his head. The stars twinkled in the sky and the night became quiet. “Oh! Come on, stop creating all these suspense moods and just spit it out. Who is that culprit?” Brenda asked him in a restless eager manner. She acted like if she didn’t know in a second then her head would burst out and kill her. David chuckled a little in despair and said, “Even I don’t know his name. But if I know who he is, then I would definitely smash him and send him to Ashes to repent on what he did to Sussan.” “So, you two don’t know his name but just keep on building this pressure, so that my heart would burst into pieces?” Brenda huffed and kicked his legs. David did not even wince his body a little to show that he actually got hurt by her kick. Instead, a sad smile spread across his face and said,  “I do know that he should be the father of our kids. Don’t you also know that Peter and Elly are not my biological children? The only thing Sussan doesn’t know is how she got pregnant with both her kids.” Once he finished saying there was an awkward silence between them both. Brenda knew very well now when that could have happened. Now she understood why her mother said, she would try to open the memory gate for Sussan one layer after another. Sussan was not memory masked just once but twice and it so happened at the time before she got pregnant. Brenda sighed and patted David’s shoulder to comfort him. “I am sorry, I should have not asked you about this matter. I know how much it should have hurt you but right now her children are the only happiness in her life. We have to make sure to find them as soon as possible,” Brenda said in a determined tone. David did not respond to her and closed his eyes. Brenda saw his pained expression and did not speak about that matter anymore. She too laid on the ground and waited for Sussan to wake up. At that moment, she suddenly had an odd feeling and she immediately sat straight once again. She glanced at David once to make sure that he was in deep sleep. Then she stood up and went near her bag. She took out her diary from inside the bag and opened it. Just as she expected the date when Sussan conceived and the date she had visited, the Asran star had a two months gap between them. ‘How did I miss seeing this before? It must be one of the representatives of the other planets who made her pregnant,’ Brenda almost squealed after finding this out. She couldn’t wait for Sussan to wake up so that she could share this news with her. ‘But wait! Can someone from another planet impregnate us?’ Brenda wondered. ‘The biological aspect of our bodies would never allow that to happen even if we had s*x with other creatures… or living beings or other people from another planet. So, how did Sussan give birth to two kids? Am I missing something?’ She scratched her head and stared at the sky. The Asran star was not visible at this time of the night. So, she could not question the star about what happened when Sussan visited on those days. Moreover, even if she questioned the Asran star, it was not like she would get an answer. She let out a loud sigh and slammed her head on her bag. ‘Nothing is going well. What is James doing right now? Is he also missing me and remembering me? Was he able to rescue the kids?’ Brenda wondered and she had a slight heartache. She then thought, ‘Did I leave our house in haste? Should I have waited until James came back home and talked to him once before making this rash decision?’ “Rash!” She spelled it out and wondered from when she had started to put her decision to leave the house under the rash category. “I don’t know anything anymore. Whatever it may be I am never going to accept this as my fault alone. He should have expected this after letting me see the decree,” Brenda spoke to the air and laid down on top of her big bag. “Even if it turns out to be my mistake, still it’s his fault for not stopping me on time,” She tried to convince her heart that it was never her mistake.
