The party was going on at the other end of the room. Margaret Drummond was there. So was Sue Babcock and some other girls Kathy did not know, and who hadn't been at the party last night. There was a buffet table and men around it, with loud giggles, asses being pinched, and t**s being squeezed.
The large Jade Room led off at the far end, on the right and left, toward two hallways, with rooms opening off of them. The buffet part of the Jade Room was for functions, with the middle just for guests who used the rooms leading off to both sides. There didn't seem to be any guests up here. Perhaps this section was opened up just for the heavy visitor season.
