“I love you,” Tyler said, her voice soft and sweet.
“So that’s what that looks like,” Shenin said, smiling.
“What?” Tyler asked.
“When you tell me you love me, that’s how your face looks,” Shenin said, touching Tyler’s cheek, looking right into her eyes. “I love you,” she said.
“Yeah…” Tyler said, smiling now too, “that looks pretty good.”
Tyler pulled Shenin back into her arms; they lay that way until they both fell asleep.
The next day, Shenin had to go in because she had things scheduled with her team, so Tyler took the opportunity to have lunch with Anne and catch up. Shenin had Tyler drop her off at the squad room and let her take the car to pick up Anne.
“You sure you trust me with this beautiful car?” Tyler asked, grinning.
“I trust you with my life, Ty,” Shenin said, smilin
