Ava’s POV A pounding headache greets me as I slowly blink my eyes open. A sharp throbbing pulse at the back of my head, making me wince as I sit up. My body feels strange, heavy yet light at the same time, as if I’ve been floating in and out of consciousness for hours. I tried to remember what happened, but then everything hit hard.
