Ava’s POV Their eyes watched me in silence as I came closer. I could feel the weight of their stares like they could see right through me, see every patch of red blotchy skin, every ache, every lie I was trying to keep buried. My hands trembled slightly as I gripped the hem of my shirt, hoping they wouldn’t notice, but deep down, I knew they already had. And then Irish spoke.
