Writer’s POV Zach watched Ava closely, his gaze sharp as he studied her expression. She looked at him, confussion written all over her face. Her lips parted slightly, her breath coming out uneven, but she didn’t look away from him, her eyes piercing his skin. “Let go,” Zach tried grabbing her hands but she was fast enough to take a step back. “Why are you suddenly being nice to me?” Ava asked quietly, her voice was small and hesitant.
