Ava’s POV After asking them the same question for what felt like eternity and they refused to answer me, I turned on my heel and walked away, my thoughts beeping with why Vanessa had come to our house. I’m halfway up my room when my stepmom suddenly calls my name. “Ava.” My stepmom’s tone isn’t sharp, but something about it makes me stop.
