A loud bell echoed so loudly I thought the sound had come from inside my skull.
I groaned and attempted to roll away from the strange noise.
And I nearly fell right off the bunk!
Falling from that height would have cracked my head open if I hadn't caught myself in time.
My eyes practically burned as I squinted them open. Someone had thrown the windows open to let sunlight in and it hurt my eyes.
