(Zane) I make my way back through the passageway to the front of the temple where the four young males are waiting.  "How many humans were here?" I ask with a frown. The four young juveniles bare their necks to me in submission, feeling the power leaking from me as my beast hovers on the surface keeping my body warm in the freezing mountains. "T-there were four, two males and two females, alpha." One of the males answers me, keeping his eyes to the ground. I can smell the fear pouring from them, probably thinking that they have done wrong and will be punished for it. But they have done no wrong. They did exactly what I said to do and that was to keep an eye on them and leave them be.  I look around seeing burnt wood where a fire was lit. I can still smell the smoke in the air. The blood in the back of the temple belongs to one of the females, but the other human's scent has been washed away from the strong cold winds in the mountains. "What happened?" I ask wanting to know everything. "On their way back down a blizzard picked it. We watched as they unknowingly went off the path that they took up the mountain, unable to see where they were going with all the wind and snow being blown around. Then one of the males spotted the temple and they went inside to get out of the blizzard. After following them this morning making sure they left, we came back to the temple and saw that things have been messed with, and that's when we called you." The same male answer again as they all stand here with their eyes lowered to the ground. My jaws clench down as I look over at the burnt wood again, before leaving out the temple. I shift into my beast, pissed, knowing I have to get the medallion back or eventually things will start to fall apart in the valley. Those four medallions together allow us to live down in the valley in peace. Those medallions keep our land warm and rich, allowing us to live off the land. With the medallion missing the coldness from the mountains will start to make its way down into the valley. We can survive the cold, but the cold will be a problem for the young ones who haven't s**t yet. The land won't survive the cold. Eventually, the land will freeze over killing all the herbs that are used for medical purposes, killing all the crops and forcing all the animals to leave. We will no longer be able to live off the land as we once did. Our elders found this land durn a period of great slather and war amongst the supernatural creatures to keep our people safe. They performed special rituals to contact the goddess, asking for her help. The goddess being the loving mother she is to her creation, she blessed four medallions instructing for them to be placed at the ends of our land to allow the power she placed on them to cover the land, and For a long time, our people have lived here in peace off the land, not having to worry about the problems of the outsiders but now these humans have taken away the blessing that the goddess has given my people. Once I get back to the valley, I head to the training ground where I know I'll find Rome training with the pack warriors.  Once I get to the training ground, I shift back watching as the males and females who make eye contact with me slightly bow their heads with respect. I head over to Rome who's helping the newly shifted juveniles with controlling their shifting.  "These little shits are learning fast." Rome says as I walk over next to him. I look over at the newly shifted juveniles as they stand here with their hands held out. I watch as a few of them manage to force only their hands to shift, while many of the others groan out in pain as their hands slightly shift back and forth, struggling, unable to hold the shift. They are still getting use to their bones shifting. "I have to leave." I frown over at Rome. I need to get the medallion back before things start to fall apart in the valley. "Where are you going?" Rome looks over at me with a raised brow. "Humans have taken the medallion from the west temple and im going to get it back." A low growl vibrates my chest, causing a frown to creep onto his face. While most people here are clueless and are living a carefree life here in the valley, Rome knows the importance of the medallions. He knows those medallions are responsible for keeping our land beautiful and rich, providing us with the things we need here. "When was it taken?" His frown deepening as he turns his body towards me, his attention fully on the situation at hand now. "The young juveniles patrolling the Western borders said they left this morning after being caught in a blizzard in the mountains yesterday." I tell him, knowing now that they have taken the medallion the land is no longer receiving the blessing from the goddess, and I Dont know how long it will be until things start to fall apart in the valley. He let out a low growl. "Humans are a problem and have always been a problem. That bit of mercy you show to the humans has come to bite us in the ass. Border Patrol should have killed them the moment those filthy humans ignored the signs and decided to cross onto our land anyways." He says glaring at me. My beast pushes forward, not liking his tone or the glare on his face. I let out a low growl, letting my power leak from me. I watch as he glares at me for a moment longer, before lowering his eyes in submission. He may be my best friend, be im still his alpha and I won't tolerate disrespect from him or anyone else. "Im going to get it back." I say understanding why he's upset. These are his people just as they are mines and I've made this problem from our people by allowing these humans to cross onto our land. I watch as his jaws clenched before he let out a sigh. "I'll make sure things are good here while you're gone." He says, giving me a nod. I return his nod before walking away. When I get home, I get dressed. I have the female scent so it shouldn't take long for me to track her down. I leave out of the house and get into my car and drive away, leaving the valley. It's not often that I leave the valley now that im alpha of the pack and have to take care of my responsibility to the pack. I don't get to go out partying as I did a few years ago when my father was alpha of the pack. I mostly only leave the valley now to visit the alphas who I share an alliance with just to keep our relationships healthy in case there comes a time when we will need each other assistance. When I finally make it to the large city, I start west sniffing out for the human female as I drive through the streets, knowing she has to be here in the city somewhere and if I find her, I find the medallion. Hours pass as I drive through the streets of the city searching for this female. My grip on the steering wheel tightens, starting to grow impatient as the sun starts to go down, knowing she's here somewhere.  As I continue to drive, heading to the south side of the city, I get a faint whiff of her scent in the air, but a faint scent is all that I need.  I feel my beast push forward, welcoming the hunt as I start to track her scent through the streets of the city. The smell of her scent slowly starts to grow stronger as I get closer. After about an hour of tracking her scent, im lead to a night club.  I park and get out, frowning over at the night club where her scent leads to. I take in a calming breath, pushing the beast back as it pushes forward ready to sink teeth into prey. But I'm not here to kill anyone, I'm here to get the medallion back. I stand here for a moment watching the humans standing outside of the club laughing and talk, while many others make their way inside of the club.  I walk over making my way into the loud club, as the music blast and colorful lights flash and people dance. I look around the packed club, sniffing out the human female until my eyes land on her.  A frown creeps onto my face as I stand here watching her, watching as she walks over to an empty booth collecting empty mugs and shot glasses, letting me know that she works here at the club. "My man Zane, haven't seen you around in a while." I look over as this werewolf name Ralph walks over to me with a smirk. I met him about two years ago at a club like this. But since my father handed the pack to me to lead, I don't have time to hang out at night clubs anymore.  I give him a nod before looking back over to the human female, watching as she takes a tray of shots over to a booth of drunk males. I watch her as she laughs, giving out friendly smiles to the males but the second she turns her back on the drunk males, the smile quickly leaves her face as she walks away rolling her eyes looking irritated.  "She's a hot piece of ass, but last time I remember you don't do humans." Ralph says, seeing me watching the human female.  "I don't." I tell him as I continue to watch her.  She looks at her watch and let out a sigh before heading through a door, going into the back of the club.  "I got a VIP booth and a few she-wolves who's down for whatever. I don't normally share my females, but im willing to make an exception for a good friend." Ralph says. I look over at the smirk on his face before looking back over watching as she comes back through the door now wearing her jacket with a bag strapped crossed her shoulders, heading towards the door. "Maybe some other time." I tell Ralph before walking away. I leave out the club and spot her walking over to her car. I frown as I start to make my way across the street, watching as she pulls the car keys from her pocket unlocking the car door. As she opens the door, I reach over shoving it back shut, stopping her from getting inside. "You have taken something that doesn't belong to you and I want it back now!" I growl out through clenched teeth, watching as she turns around looking at me. "I don't know what you're talking about, you clearly have the wrong person." She looks at me with a frown for a moment, before turning opening the car door only for me to push it shut again. "Wheres the medallion?" I glare at her, knowing she was there in the temple. That blood belongs to her. I watch the look in her eyes as she understands exactly what im looking for. "I don't know what you're talking about." She glares at me, lying to my face.  "Rya, is everything okay?" I look over seeing the bouncer from the club making his way over to us. "Yes, I was just leaving." She looks over at the bouncer, before looking back at me giving me a look that's telling me to 'back off if I know what's good for me'. I reach out closing the door again as she opens it. "Its time for you to leave." The bounce goes to push me away, but the moment his hand touches me, I grab his wrist snapping it causing him to yell out in pain. I continue to hold his broken wrist, forcing him down to his knees. I place a hard knee to his face, silencing him as he falls to the ground unconscious.  I bring my attention back to this female Rya, who's now looking at me with wide eyes with fear pouring from her. She tries to back away from me only for her back to bump up against the car, unable to go anywhere.  "Where's the medallion?" I growl out, glaring at her. "I-I Dont have it with me right now." She says quickly, pressing herself up against the car as I take a step closer to her. I look over seeing that I've drawn too much attention from the crowd of humans standing outside of the club. My jaws clench down as I look back over at her. "I'll be back for it tomorrow and next time I won't be asking nicely." I leave her with a warning before walking away, going over to my car leaving, heading back to the valley.
