27 Alex I’d been surprised Josie was willing to spend the night at our house. It was difficult for me to deny my adorable daughter anything she wanted, but I had assumed Josie would be too worried about the town’s gossip mongers to stay here with us all night. When Hannah burst in the door and excitedly asked if Josie could stay over, I gave the woman a long look to gauge her honest reaction. I would have gladly played the bad-guy if she didn’t want to stay over, but also didn’t want to hurt the child’s feelings if it wasn’t absolutely necessary.
