29 Alex I fell onto the couch, unsure of how much longer my wobbly legs could support my weight. So many emotions had flooded my system when I saw the police officers standing on my front porch. I’d been certain they were here about Claire, but their expressions had been too unreadable for me to know if it was good news or the unthinkable.
