Chapter Twenty Although it appeared tiny on the outside, the narrow, two story structure at the back of Stroud’s lot was surprisingly spacious. The front door opened into a large room with windows in the north and south walls, allowing for even distribution of sunlight throughout the day. In the far left hand corner was a kitchenette and, across from that, a nicely appointed bathroom with a full tub and shower unit.
