WHEN STRENGTH FINDS LOVE
CHAPTER TWO-A DOOR OPENS.
The next morning,David hardly slept. He kept taking grace business card from his pocket to make sure it was real.More thank once,he wondered if he had imagined the entire encounter. But the elegant white card with words MISS GRACE ADEBAYO ENTERPRISES printed in bold letters reminded him that hope had finally knocked at the door.
He woke before sunrise polished his worn at shoe was much as he could, iron his only white shirt, and carefully arranged his certificate in the old brown folder.
Before leaving,he knelt beside his mother.
"Pray for me mama.
His mother smiled warmly."
"The God who opened this door will guide your steps, my son."
David hugged her tightly before boarding a bus into the city.
At exactly nine o'clock, David stood in the reception area of Grace adebayo enterprises. The office was larger and more beautiful than any other place he had ever visit.Employees moving confidently through the hall ways, and everyone seemed focused on their work.
The receptionist greeted him kindly.
"Good morning, how many I help you?
My name is David okoro, miss grace adebayo asked me to come."
The receptionist checked her computer and smiled.
"Yes Mr David ,she is expecting you."
David was surprised.she had remembered him.
Moments later grace walked into the receptionist area with her usual calm smile.
"You came right in time."
"My mother told me that being late is another kind of disrespectful,"David replied."
Grace nodded with approval.
I like that.
Grace led him into her office.
"Tell me more about yourself."
David explained his educational background, his dreams, and the countless job interviews that had ended in disappointment. He admitted that there has been time he wanted to give up.
Grace listened without interrupting.
When he finished, she leaned back in her chair.
"You have good qualifications, but qualifications alone don't build success character does."
She paused before continuing.
I don't have a qualification that matches your degree at the moment. However I can offer you a role as my executive assistant while you gain experience."
David eye widened."
'l'll accept it ma'am."
"Grace smiled.
There's one condition."
David swallowed nervously.
"You must promise never to stop learning,I expect honestly, discipline and hardwork."
"I promise."
Then welcome to the team."
For the first time in years,David felt his future has begun.
Many months passed quickly.
David proved himself to be hardworking, respectful and eager to learn. He arrived before everyone else and stayed late to finish assignments.Whenever he made a mistake, grace corrected him patiently rather than humiliating him.
She encouraged him to attend leadership seminars and business workshops, paying the fees herself.
"Knowledge is an investment,"she often said."The more you learn the more valuable you become."
Under her guidance, David confidence grew.
The shy young man who had once stood in the rain with nothing but a folder if certificates gradually becomes a capable professional.
Employees noticed the change.
Mr David has improved so much,"one manager remarked.
Grace simply smiled.
"People blossom when everyone believe in them."
One Friday afternoon, grace invited her staff to visit a local orphanage,as she did every month.
David watched as she laughed with the children, played games with them, and personally handed food, books and school supplies.
One little girl ran up and hugged grace tightly.
"Thank you for paying my school fees,"she whispered.
Grace gently stroked the girl's hair
"Study hard and become whatever God called you to be."
David stood silently,deeply moved.
He realized that grace's generosity was was not for publicity or praise. She helped people because it was simply was she was.
That evening,as they droved back to the office,David looked out of the car window.
"You 've changed many lives."
Grace smiled softly.
"I was once helped by someone who expected nothing in return.I've simply continued that kindness.
David looked at her with new found admiration.
In that moment, he knew his feeling for grace were beginning to change.
She was no longer just his employee.
She had become the woman he respected more than any one else.
Little did he know that the admiration growing quietly in his heart would soon blossom into love_a love that will bring them great happiness before life tested them in ways neither of them could imagine.
