Chapter Two - I am positive she hates me...

Cody    “Mum, I still don’t understand why you won’t let me stay here alone. I am going to be eighteen soon,” I complained as I packed some things.   Yes, I was looking forward to the next two weeks, but for one purpose only, Jasmine! I was determined to have her below me before we finish high school. She is the only girl that will not give in to me, and I’m not too fond of that. I prefer getting what I want. I would use these two weeks to work on her, but I would rather be at home except that.    “You know why because I wouldn’t have a house to come back to,” She laughed, “I know what you would get up to,” She added.    “Thanks, mum, I appreciate you trusting me,” I said sarcastically.    “Sorry son, but I know what you are like,” She said.    She has even taken my house keys away from me. I don’t blame her, though. If I were left alone, I wouldn’t go to school. I would have girls over every night and have parties every other night. And if I want to graduate, then I need to be careful when it comes to school, no matter how much I hate it.    “Fine,” I groaned.    “Maybe it will give you and Jasmine a chance to sort things out, once and for all,” She said.    “Mum, Jasmine and I will not be friends again, probably ever,” I said, “I am positive that she hates me,” I added.    “I will never understand what happened between you two,” She sighed.    “Life. People grow up, grow apart and change; it is life,” I said.    The truth was I turned into a complete jackass, started treating her like crap, and Jasmine doesn’t like people like that. It was my fault we weren’t friends any more, but I would not tell my mother that.    “That doesn’t mean you can’t ever be friends again,” She sighed, “I always thought you two would end up together, we all did,” She added.    “Nope! She isn’t my type. I am not hers,” I said.    That was a lie. Jasmine was everyone’s types. She was gorgeous, and had the sexiest body too, curves in all the right place and an ass that looked good in anything. She was confident, fun and nice to everyone. Jasmine was friendly to everyone from the jocks and cheerleaders to the geeks to the bad boys and girls. She didn’t judge anyone. And she was the first to step in if she saw anyone getting picked on. Jasmine had a lot of respect in our school, not only our year but all years. She was no angel, though, she had a wild side too.    “Now I know that is a lie,” My mum laughed, “You would have to be stupid not to be attracted to her,” She added, shaking her head.    “I prefer blondes,” I shrugged.    Jasmine was brunette. I honestly wasn’t fussed about the colour of a girls’ hair, if she is up for some fun, that is enough for me.    “If you insist, now hurry up and finish packing,” She laughed, “Dinner will be ready soon,” She added.    My mum left me to it after that. I chuckled to myself. I loved my mum very much. She was an incredible woman. I expected her to break when my father left, mostly since I was a complete ass when he did and blamed it on her. But no, she didn’t. She got on with her life, doing everything she could to look after me while working and keeping the house running.    I have a lot of respect for her. With my mum, you would think the way she Is that I would have respect for all girls, but nope! I was an asshole to girls, but hey many of them seemed to like it.    I made sure I had everything I needed for the next couple of weeks. My mum said it might be longer, but I hope that will not be the case. I groaned, dumping my bag on the floor and headed down to join my mum for dinner.    “Can I help?” I asked, going into the kitchen.    “Can you get that plates and that please, son,” I said.    “Sure thing,” I smiled, grabbing the plates.    “Are you going out tonight? Or can I convince you to stay in and spend the night with your mother?” mum asked.    “I am sure I can stay in for a night,” I laughed.    “Good, because I won’t see you for a couple of weeks,” She said.   “I know, mum,” I said.    I am sure I can stay in for one night if it keeps her happy. I can sneak out later if I need to. I don’t mind spending a little time with her, especially since I won’t see her for a couple of weeks. We got settled down for dinner. Mum always tried her best to get us to have dinner together every night. I did some nights, not always though. My mum liked a chance to catch up with what was going on.                                              *** I was sitting in my room, my mum away to bed since we had an early start tomorrow. I was deciding if I should sneak out or not. While I decided, I grabbed my phone and found Jasmine’s number. I was going to hit the call button, then realised there was no point because she wouldn’t answer. Texting it is then. I opened a text to her.    Hey sweetness, what you doing? Are you excited yet about me coming to stay with you? X    I know fine well she is not excited, nor will be excited at any time. I am sure she would rather have me sleeping in the streets. I got a surprise when my phone went, only moments later with a reply from her.    None of your business. And no, I am not. I thought I told you earlier to leave me alone. Can you not listen for once in your life! I still want to know how you got my number in the first place.    I convinced one of her friends to give it to me because I know I would not get it from her.    You should know by now that I do not listen. And where I got your number, you will never know, sweet cheeks!                                         I couldn’t see her, but I knew she would be annoyed and rolling her eyes right now. I waited for her to reply, but she didn’t. I chuckled, setting my phone aside. I am surprised she text me back at all. I am not bothered because for the next two weeks she can’t get away from me. I will be there all the time, and my room is the one right next to hers. I plan on using every single thing to my advantage.    Jasmine enjoys some fun, and I am sure I can use that to coax her too. I was coming for her, and with any luck, I will get what I want before the two weeks are up.    She has many guys trying to steal her attention, but let’s say if I hear of anyone going to ask her our or anything like that, I put a stop to it before it happens. No one else is getting her before me. And if she knew the truth, she would surely murder me. She will not find out, though because everyone has been warned.    Once I get what I want, then everyone else can do as they please.    Game on!
