Desperate to eradicate gloom enveloping my mind, in one unbroken procession, I race to my apartment, slip off mud-caked shoes, damp clothing, step into a soothing shower, and linger "til gloom withers. My stomach rumbles, eliciting another yearning. Exiting the shower, and toweling off, I saunter naked from the steamy bath toward the kitchen, when the photo, I place on the refrigerator several days ago, cause more angst.
