Callie’s POV The neon sign of The Grand Hotel buzzed through the thick mist, casting a harsh pink glow over the wet asphalt. I pulled into the parking lot, my heart hammering against my ribs. The throbbing ache in my temples had turned into a full-scale storm, every nerve ending under my skin tingling with erratic, high-voltage static. I checked my reflection in the rearview mirror.
