Jonas stirred in his sleep. His mind was being assaulted with images of a beautiful woman. Unable to control his dreams, his body reacted subconsciously to the stimuli. The woman’s ruby red lips were full and sensual, her eyes green like emeralds, her hair the brightest red he had ever seen. She excited him, her nightly seduction wore on him like waves against the side of a cliff. He could feel his body responding, with every fibre of his being he wanted to reach out and touch her alabaster skin. His dreams had become increasingly more erotic each night. He dreamed about his hands being wrapped around her hair as he commanded her to her knees before him, his pants falling to his feet as he forced himself on her. How she teased and delighted him with her tongue. The dreams felt so vivid that he screamed in his head to wake up. He didn’t want to feel this, he wanted Valentina. His beautiful Valentina.
He awoke with a start, his erection aching. Night after night had been the same. He hadn’t mentioned his dreams for the shame of how his body responded, but as he looked around now at the sleeping men in the cave with him, he wondered if they weren’t having the same dreams. If not, their dreams were certainly invoking concerning responses. He vowed to have the conversation in the morning that they had all been avoiding.
He sighed as he lay back down and pulled out his phone. He scrolled through the photos of Joseph. The Goddess knew he missed that boy. He was due a visit very soon.
Movement caught his eye at the mouth of the cave, and he looked up past the barrier Will had installed. His breath hitched as he saw her. The woman from his dreams. She was standing there, naked. Her breasts were full and large, her stomach rounded, her hips and thighs full. He had always favoured women with a bit of extra meat on their bones and this woman had everything he found alluring in a woman.
He walked towards the mouth of the cave, the hard barrier stopping his movements. He reached up towards her, unable to control his body.
“Do you want me, Jonas?” She whispered the sound so close it felt like she was in the cave with him. “I am here, come and take me.” She ran her hands over her breasts and down her thighs, licking her top lip.
“Get away from here you hell spawn.” Jonas snarled.
The woman looked hurt. She pulled her bottom lip in and looked at Jonas seductively as she dropped to her knees in front of him, her mouth open as she licked her lips.
“Is this what you want, Jonas?” She asked, pouting as she looked up at him through impossibly long eye lashes.
“No, I want know part of you.” Jonas spat.
“Your body tells me otherwise. Let me in Jonas, and I could be yours.” She breathed.
“Jonas?” Lachlan broke through his thoughts.
“Lachlan, thank the Goddess.” Jonas breathed as the woman smiled.
“Who is that?” Lachlan asked.
“The hellion that haunts my every dream.” Jonas replied, stepping back.
Lachlan stood up and went to his brother, putting an arm around his shoulder.
“Do not give her your time or attention. We have seen how that ends. Think of Valentina.” Lachlan whispered.
“She invades my every thought.” Jonas muttered, his head in his hands.
“She must be quite old to have this much power. Jonas, you can not let her into your head.” Lachlan begged. “It will be the end of you.”
“Tell me how to stop it.” Jonas gripped his hair in frustration.
“Liam, Todd!” Lachlan called out. “We need Will.”
Liam and Todd opened their eyes slowly, looking around. They hadn’t slept this well in a long time.
“Liam, Todd, we need Will NOW!” Lachlan roared. Todd mind linked Will, who arrived moments later.
“No need to explain, I can see the problem.” Will said, holding up his hand.
“Please, make it stop.” Jonas begged.
Will smiled at Jonas, building a portal. “Go see Valentina.”
Jonas sobbed as he clung to Lachlan. “I am not deserving; I have failed Vali. Look at how weak I am.”
“Jonas, you must be kinder to yourself. You have not known Valentinas touch in five long years. This thing is preying on your weakness. Go see your mate, lay beside her and let the Moon Goddess restore you as she fights to restore Valentina. Nobody expects of you what you expect of yourself.” Will tried to console him. “I have felt the healing moon beams from the Moon Goddess, they will serve you well. You must stay until you are restored. This abomination is dangerous. She is extremely powerful.”
“I can hear you.” The woman laughed manically. “Nobody can resist me. Come to me Jonas, it will happen eventually anyway.”
“Jonas, go to Vali. She needs you.” Lachlan pushed him gently towards the portal. Jonas walked through without looking back.
“It’s been a tough few months, why don’t you all head home? We will regroup in a couple of days. I need to speak to Olive and William and see what we can do about these attacks on Jonas’s mind.” Will suggested.
“No need to tell me twice.” Lachlan smiled as he walked through.
“Will, do you ever miss how things used to be? When it was just us and James and the pack and the fire station?” Todd asked as he watched Lachlan walk through the portal.
“All the time brother. Don’t worry, it doesn’t mean you love your family any less. It seems since we found our mates we have struggled and fought day after day. I think it’s perfectly normal to miss quieter times.” Will shrugged.
“Will it ever be quiet like that again?” Liam asked.
Will sighed. “Not with four kids it wont.” He winked at them both. “As for quieter times for all of us, I am still developing my skills as a Seer. I cant answer that I’m afraid.”
Liam and Todd walked towards the portal. “Let’s go grab some beers for old times sake.” Todd smiled as he walked through.
