I was at my wife's gravesite, I lost her when Lucas was a mere child and I promised her to always take care of him, she loved him like no other. I smiled and slowly took my robe off, I said, "I didn't expect you to come here, especially today." She said, "I saw that you are stressed, Your Majesty, and wanted to take your mind off your worries, even if it is for a little while." He said, "A few years, I planned to tell you a long time ago, but I didn't know how to, mother always told me to tell you a..," I cut him off and said, "She would never condone this madness, you are to be king Lear."
He sighed and said, "She did, Dad, she wanted me to tell you when I was ready and support me, please don't shut me out, I was always this way, and she still loved me." I looked at him with tears in my eyes, I was angry and said, "You will mate Lady Astra, Astrid's sister, and give me an heir who will sit on this throne because you can't." I walked off leaving him to his thoughts, I linked my Beta to have Rico transferred to the edge of my territory for good. I blocked Lear from contacting me and told Lady Astra to come to the throne room with her father tomorrow. I summoned her sister back to my bed because I needed to relax again, and I hated doing this to Lear, but we can't have a king who loves the company of men in his bed.

I watched Rico get mated off over the years and had six kids with his wife, I mated Astra, and we had a son, unfortunately, she died in childbirth with our daughter, who I mourn every year as I visit their tomb, they were buried together. I was brought out of my thoughts when I saw Rico walk in front of me and smile, he said, "You can't keep watching me," I smiled and said, "I wanted to make sure you were happy, my father forced this life on you."
He cut me off and said, "I fell in love with my wife and respect her, and we have a family together, I will always treasure what we had, Lear." I said, "Good, I am happy for you," touching his face one last time, he leaned into my touch and said, "I should go," walking away to meet with his wife. I headed to the Palace to visit my father before I headed back to the city where I lived. I had a business trip to attend in a few days, I was going to Dragonmare to meet with King Dominic, he was a great friend and understood my dilemma, he always had a guy in my bed whenever I visited. I don't hate my father, I understood he was old school and the law had to be changed for my lifestyle to be accepted, there were gays in our territory hiding because of the laws and I would be a fresh face if I could do something for them and Dominic knew how.
