Chapter 26 – Getaway attemptHe stood for a few minutes in silence watching the sunset, wondering how that sight would look from Salento, the place he was missing especially now that it seemed so close but yet so far. His thoughts were with his dear old parents whom he had not seen for a couple of months and as a veil of sadness came over his mind he tried to think of something else, but to no avail. He had been at the same place and time a week before with Elisa and he still sensed her perfume and he could still feel her in his arms leaning back against him and she gazed at the sunset with him.
