“Joe,” Tabitha greeted as she entered Jonas’s office after dinner. “Hey, Carson.”
Carson raised his right arm in acknowledgment. “Hey, what’s up?”
Tabitha seemed rather ill at ease for a second or two. “I actually need to speak to Joe, but I think this also involves you.”
Jonas glanced up from his portable tablet and turned toward Tabitha. “What is it?”
“Mr. Dwight Carey, a journalist from Chestan National News, was on the phone with me a few minutes ago.”
“Is something wrong?”
Tabitha appeared to hesitate briefly before nodding. “He was here earlier this morning together with the other members of the press who were covering the Halloween party.”
