Chapter 13
Two weeks after the press conference, Carson found himself being bombarded with endless tasks. It was as if the revelation of his relationship with Jonas implied he was now the go-to person, aside from Tabitha, whenever any of the employees on the estate needed somebody to decide on anything in particular. He couldn’t understand why he now had so many obligations. After all, he was inside the mansion in his capacity as Jonas’s guard. Nevertheless, he performed whatever was expected of him. He could certainly do with less public scrutiny, though.
“How are Jonas’s projects?” Carson whispered to Tabitha as they sat side by side on the couch inside the hotel room where Jonas was being interviewed by the fourth journalist of the day. “Is he still getting any?”
