The sun kept rising and setting through my window. I wasn't allowed to leave the bed since my injuries were healing. I kept down the book William gave me to read after reading a few pages. I shifted in the bed, on my side when the door of the hospital room was knocked before Father walked in. His hazel eyes softened just a bit at the sight of me before they again turned steely. His hands had a parcel of food clutched tightly as he shut the door behind him. I suddenly couldn't lie down comfortably and quickly got up and sat against the pillows, meeting my own hazel eyes with him. One thing I knew about my father was that he hide his emotions well.
