His silence dug deep in my heart, shattering into pieces, I couldn't gather. Tears burned my eyes and my chest tightened with the overwhelming feeling which only made me wish to cry. I blinked back my tears, biting hard on my lips to keep my tears in check. I looked at the mirror in the restroom, splashing water on my face as I stared at my pale face. This wasn't Serena Burton I had been all my life. This was Serena Burton, who felt rejected, betrayed. I was a fool to fall for him but then why couldn't I believe that he tricked me all these time? Why does his feeling still feel so true to me? All those emotions in his eyes, all the love and affection that swirled in his dark chasm felt too real to be fake.
