Mission Complete

Since he is a hitman not necessarily a fighter, and judging from his lanky build I could finish Pistol Pete off if I could just get a proper hit in.     That's what I think to myself as I dart back and forth among the maze of boxes and crates. I was stalling as much as I could as I waited for an opportunity to close the gap between me and Pistol Pete.    Our little game of cat and mouse went on for a while as I ducked behind boxes and crates while Pistol Pete rained bullets towards where I was. His bullets however were chipping at the crate I was currently hiding at.     One air bullet managed to slip through and hit me in the shoulder. I didn't have time to react to and block it. It was a good thing it hit the crate first which lessened its blow. The wound wasn't deep and it didn't look like Pistol Pete knew that he hit me. In the dimly lit room, I could somewhat make out where Pistol Pete was heading towards. Since he moved a way from the only source of light in the room all I could see was his silhouette approaching where I was at.    As his figure began getting closer and closer to me, his breathing became apparent. He was breathing heavily while muttering curses under his breath. It seems like his  "Magic Touch: Air Bullet" could only be used so much.     Well after firing that many shots it sure would take a toll on his body and deplete his magic.    This was my chance to use Tailwind and finish him in one go!    I held my breath so that he wouldn't here where I was. Since gathering the winds around me creates a faint noise, I'll just wait for him to get close to me so that once I do gather the winds it would be too close and too fast for him to react.    And just like that I used Tailwind. A sudden burst of speed as the winds aided my movement. I used this to quickly s***h Pistol Pete. He fell to the ground.    "You got me", he quietly said.    I was still a bit wary of Pistol Pete, even though I was pretty sure it was already over. I myself was already losing consciousness, I got way too many wounds from the girl I fought before Pistol Pete, and the amount of air bullets from Pistol Pete too was a lot.    I stalled way too much time in those two fights. The only reason I was able to even last against Pistol Pete was because I was lucky enough to create a new technique and the spot. Other than that I was just running on pure adrenaline throughout the fight. Luckily, Eddie suddenly arrived and caught me as I was about to fall. "Seems like most of Head Hunters men have either been defeated or fled the warehouse", Eddie said. "I'd say this is mission complete kid!"    That was the last thing I heard before I drifted to sleep.    From what Eddie told me after I fell unconscious, he took me back to the apartment and I was knocked out for three days. In those three days it seems as though Head Hunter had stopped sending men to the warehouse from what Eddie saw.    Once I properly woke up I chowed down on the stale burgers and fries Eddie had set aside on the counter. He had some sort of affinity for that chain restaurant despite the clear lack in taste. And whenever he would get it why was it always already stale? Despite this, I was incredibly hungry that even after finishing everything in the paper bag I was still quite hungry.    "That's what happens when you over exert yourself", Eddie said. " Freshen up, go take a shower, and let's get some grub outside. You've been asleep for three whole days you need to get yourself moving."    Getting up and taking a shower felt like an eternity. My body was sore all over and my wounds ached as I moved around. But after some time I was able to finish cleaning myself up.    Eddie and I set out to go downtown. We decided to walk there so that I could get my body moving as we talked about our plan moving forward.    "Once your wounds heal up a bit we resume our usual training", Eddie said.    "For how long?" I ask.    About a month or so again. Keep working on your techniques, our opponents are only going to get bigger and badder from here on out. You need to keep working on your ability to constantly use each of your techniques in succession. That will keep you alive in a fight. A month might not be enough for most people to develop these kinds of skills but were short on time and you are as of right now the current instrument of Order so you're ability to learn techniques is definitely boosted, as well as your ability to control the winds.    While you're out training in the mountains I'm gonna take the time to snoop around again. Other than the warehouse,  Head Hunter's cafe and a laundromat  that he uses as fronts have had zero people right now. All the bases right now don't have any assassins or goons for use to infiltrate and raid.     We'd just end up causing chaos and getting the public involved if we were to raid the cafe and laundromat. So I'm gonna find out if they even still have a place where they operate here in the city, because if ever, we might just have to go outside of the city if Head Hunter completely abandoned every last one of his bases.    "If that might be the case, we leave in a month or so?", I ask Eddie.    "If we are going outside the city we might as well take our time train up and prepare ourselves, because we will need it. Going after the Head Hunter in uncharted waters might as well be a death wish so we definitely have to prepare ourselves", Eddie replied.     So that's the plan. Look out Head Hunter I'm coming for you!
