I went back to where our room was headed. Now that I actually took the time to properly observe. Each corridor was lined with so much magic. That must bee the reason why I can't get to our room.
I didn't really know exactly how to counter act space distorting types of magic but it's just the walls that are lined with magic and not space itself I could definitely muscle my way through whatever he has put up.
I wasn't really used to using my magic for punching or for kicking since I always practice sword techniques but I should be fine as long as I follow the basic principles of "Pirouette of Spring" or "Tailwind". Which is to keep the wind constantly shifting at different parts of my body to aid and strengthen whatever action I'm doing.
I tried using "Tailwind" a bunch of different times. I thought that I could somehow by pass that old dude's magic by going as fast as I can. This didn't work so that means speed is of the table. This really meant that once I head to the end of the corridor. Before I turn left I have to just f*****g go ham on the walls.
This was my last effort attempt. I need to stop wasting time since Head Hunter is being notified. I had to get past this old dude's magic and get out of here quickly!
It was now or never!
I tried to punch the wall in front of me. I just have to break the magic surrounding the corridor not the walls themselves was what I was thinking. Despite having the wind to help me strengthen my punch, the wall did not budge. Looks like it became denser because it was reinforced by magic.
I tried something new. I could send out air blades from my swords so I thought, I could also do the same with my punches. I recalled how my fight went with Pistol Pete and how he used pressurized air bullets to shoot me. I just have to let out pressurized air from my fists and hopefully it could destroy the magic surrounding the corridor.
The first punch was a no go. It would probably take more to destroy the magic reinforcing the walls. But despite that I was able to pick up something new just by visualizing it. It's probably because I've been spending so much time training and picking up new skills that now, learning something new comes easier for me.
I kept letting punches out and trying them on different walls. The magic still wasn't destroyed but I think I'm making progress. The walls now shook with each punch. If I can't destroy the magic from the inside, hopefully I could cause enough ruckus so that Eddie would wake up and he could destroy it from the outside.
Meanwhile back in the room where Eddie was at
I was dreaming. It was one of those instances where I was aware that I was in a dream. My dream looks like a memory from when I first met the kid. I recall meeting him the night before but he told me he was someone else. So I had to knock on his door the next morning.
"Then let me have breakfast with you! the guys says, By the way the names Eddie!"
Ah I remember this. This was while we were having breakfast at his place.
"Listen man, before you kill me can you at least explain to me what's happening?", the kid told me.
"First of all I'm not killing you, second of all these eggs are way to damn salty, and third of all believe it or not but I'm actually here to help you, I'm here to take you under my wing, you are about to be my apprentice, my sous chef, the robin to my batman, you get my drift?"
At the time while we were talking. His eyes were so lifeless. He actually probably thought I was there to kill him. Which really reminded me why I was there in the first place. I shall guide him through this tough experience because no one guided me through my own experience with discovering my magic.
The kid just has to say the word and I'll be there to rescue him!
I woke from my dream to see that the room was shaking. "What the hell is happening?" I think to myself.
I looked around the room. The kid wasn't here. And there was loud shaking ang banging noises coming from outside the room that was rattling this room. The first thing that I thought of was that the kid was in trouble.
I hopped out the bed and as I open the door I here the kid's voice.
"Wait", the kid said. "I'm the one punching the walls. The corridor here has some kind of loop that once I get close to our room it sends me back to the start of the corridor. That old dude is keeping me in this loop because he just contacted Head Hunter!"
"s**t. We're in trouble. What am I supposed to do? I ask the kid."
"I can't break the magic from the inside Eddie. Try punching the walls from your side so we could dispel the magic. Once it's gone we're gonna have to get the f**k out of this bed and breakfast since Head Hunter is coming!", the kid said while still punching at the walls.
It looked like he was sending out blasts of air from his fists. Must be something new he learned.
It was a good thing I always have "Stockpile" stored in me for emergencies like this. I used "Stockpile Second form: Golden Fists", and started punching at the walls in our room. It didn't budge. This was going to be difficult since the magic was so fortified that even with me and the kid punching at it, it still wouldn't go away.
Among the different forms of "Stockpile" that I had. The first form was similar to what the kid does with his "Tailwind". My first form basically strengthens me overall but it focuses entirely in speed. That form won't work. My second form "Golden Fists" follows the same principle as the first form but instead of speed I use it all on punching power and speed.
My third form "Achilles" also won't work since it enhances and strengthens my body to absorb the the strongest of hits. The walls weren't attacking us so it would be useless.
The kid still hasn't seem my fourth form. I could use it and I'm sure that I could destroy the magic in place here. But, it would drain everything I have stockpiled now. It would be bad if we were to encounter enemies on our way out and I don't have anything stockpiled.
But we were in a race against time and I just have to do this.
So I use the fourth form of "Stockpile" to smash the walls.
