Chapter Thirteen
"Louella, let's stay here for now. Get some rest. We'll just wait for the rain to stop."
"Sir," his driver said as he entered. "Are we still leaving? They said the other town is already starting to flood."
"Not for now. We'll wait for the rain to stop." He turned to me. "You... get some rest. Maid, take her to the guest room."
"Uncle—"
"I'll have you woken up when we're leaving."
I didn't argue any further. The maid escorted me to the guest room.
As soon as I got there, I suddenly felt sleepy. Once the maid left, I immediately took off my shoes, lay down on the bed, and closed my eyes.
Feeling unwell and exhausted from work must have been why I managed to fall asleep.
When I woke up and checked the time, my eyes widened.
