How come her scent had grown stronger with each word we exchanged? How come her lips looked more inviting with every word she spoke? Maybe my thoughts and somehow my brain has started playing tricks on me as I applied the ointment to her injury.
“Ow..that hurts..” she reached her fingers towards the injury and I stopped her.
“I told you this would sting a little” I blew onto the injury, her skin was quite bruised by the heels, I didn’t know how hard it was to walk in those.
“Thanks” she mumbled after I placed the band aid over the injury, her face turned the other way as though she was avoiding my eyes.
I sighed softly, standing up and taking a seat right beside her “Thank you, for today” I grumbled, clearing my throat right after.
