How could I ever thank him? Well I knew that spending a year as his contract wife was the stipulated way we made this transaction but without him, Lester would be dead already and now, he had finally woken up.
“Is everything alright?” He asked again as my arms didn’t come off from him. But I stayed the same way, sobbing onto his chest till I could notice my tears causing that part of his suit to dampen.
I finally pulled away from him and wiped the tears from my eyes with the back of my palm. “Yes, it’s beyond alright” I chimed, sniffling.
