“We can’t find it,” Jade read the text from Caleb to Haley. “You are going to have to do some detective work.”
Haley winced and took another sip of the drink their new friends had bought. Some sort of cocktail. It was a vast improvement on the beer.
John, the target, was here with his friends Rich and Perry. John and Rich seemed like nice, down to Earth guys. Perry… not so much. He might prove to be a problem as the night went on.
“So, what brings you girls to a night like this? I haven’t seen you here before,” John asked.
“Well, honestly, our friend Jamie asked us to come and we thought it sounded interesting,” Jade told him with a smile.
“Oh, you mean the gay couple you were with?” he asked.
“Yes,” Jade nodded firmly, looking over at Haley. “Our friends are a gay
