Chapter 21

As Jade sat upon Caleb’s bed, engaged in her work, she couldn’t help but get up to check the window every five minutes or so. Scouring the streets, craning her neck to see the entire distance from the house to town, Jade almost fell from the window. She spotted his mates outside, smoking by the wheelie bins. They appeared to be awaiting his arrival also, idly kicking a battered football at the neighbours’ fence and chatting inaudibly   Jade threw her hands up in a questioning gesture when they looked up to find her hanging from the window. Their shrugs were worrying. Surely he would have told them if he was going somewhere. This lot were joined at the hip most of the time.   Jamie left the group huddle, walking over to the house. “Hi, Jade.”   “Hi,” Jade replied.   ‘Show him the same respect you show to me,’ Caleb’s words echoed in her mind. She would do so, but she didn’t like the guy. Something about him made the little hairs on the back of her arms stand to attention.   “You must be happy,” Jamie said, smiling up at her.   “No… not particularly,” Jade shrugged, no clue what he was referring to.   “What, you haven’t been keeping count of your debt? Today is your final day. After that you are free, right?”   Jade hadn’t been keeping count, and this bit of information hit her like a punch to the stomach.   ‘My last day?’ Jade felt her heart sinking. ‘Surely not.’   Pulling up the calculator app, Jade did a few quick calculations, confirming Jamie’s word.   ‘What will I even do if I’m not helping Cal?’ Jade asked herself. It had only been a couple of weeks, yet she couldn’t recall the things that had been important before her forced job began. Impressing the girls at college, flirting with the guys, barely passing her courses, parties… they all seemed pointless now.   The thought of not spending her day with Caleb filled her with dread. Her mind began to dream up ways to piss him off and increase her sentence, even though it was risky to make him mad.   The sound of tires on gravel and the squeak of a hand brake alerted Jade to the window. Caleb was getting out of a taxi, passing over a wad of notes and thanking the driver as he exited the cab. Jade sat, waiting for Caleb to come up to the room and join her. She could hear a conversation from outside, then footsteps and finally he appeared.   “Working hard Jade?” Caleb asked. “Because it looks like you’re just sitting about twiddling your thumbs.”   Jade felt a rush of adrenaline surge through her entire body, making her jump to life. The bed sagged as Caleb sat next to her, causing her to sink into his side. She watched as he pulled a belt from his hoodie pocket and snapped it, pulling it taut between his fists. Grabbing a fistful of her hair, he yanked her over his knee and didn’t give any warning before whacking her with the belt.   It hurt more than she was expecting. More than the riding crop. She let out a yelp of pain as he whipped her again, and again, always hitting that same initial spot.   “Please, please, please,” she started to beg, not expecting him to listen. He surprised her by shoving her off his lap and onto the floor at his feet.   “It’s your last day today,” he said and shrugged. “You can go.”   Jade felt tears prick the back of her eyes. “I don’t want to go.”   Caleb leaned forward, looking her dead in the eye. “You don’t?”   Jade shook her head. “I want to help you. I haven’t got everything yet. And… and I can help in other ways. I’ll do whatever you need.”   “Honestly? You want to stay and help me of your own free will?” Caleb asked. “I won’t treat you any differently. Things would stay as they are now. No slacking. No disobedience.”   Jade nodded, smiling to show her enthusiasm, and hoping her wasn’t going to ask why. They both knew why. It didn’t need to be spoken or confirmed, in Jade’s opinion at least.   “You basically want to be my slave,” Caleb concluded.   Jade nodded again.   “Say it,” he demanded. Jade figured it was a test, or maybe hearing her say it turned him on.   “I want to be your slave,” Jade said.   When he stared blankly at her, she corrected herself.   “I am your slave.”   He smiled and patted her on the head. “Good.”   “You know… the first time you told me to get on my knees I thought you were going to tell me to do something else,” Jade told him. It was an obvious hint. One she hoped he would pick up on.   “Yeah?” And were you disappointed?” he asked.   Jade bit her lip and nodded.   “I’m not going to force you,” Caleb said, leaning back against the wall with his hands behind his head, “If you want to do it, you can ask.”   “Can I suck it?” Jade asked.   Caleb sucked in his bottom lip, looking down at her as though considering it. As though it was a difficult choice.   “Please?” Jade asked.   “Go for it,” he said   Jade didn’t need telling twice. She pulled the little drawstring of his grey jogging bottoms and reached inside. She was glad to find he was already hard, partly because it meant she’d turned him on, and because it was easier than starting with a flop.   Jade recalled the time she had tried to get her first high school boyfriend hard, mashing his d**k with an intense eagerness but very little skill. The guy had explained he was too nervous, but Jade blamed herself, and felt a little shiver of dread every time she was faced with a flaccid p***s.   Luckily, since those days Jade had honed her skills in a desperate attempt to avoid a repeat performance. She knew how to give good head, using her tongue, the movement of her head and just the slightest suction to bring him to orgasm. When she could feel it about to explode, she prepared to swallow.   He pulled out at the last moment, dumping his load right between her eyes. The c*m dripped down into her eyes, making them sting and blurring her vision. She could hear Caleb snickering, and went to wipe the c*m from her face.   “No, no, wait,” he told her, still laughing gently. “I’m going to take a picture.”   Jade sat patiently as he clicked, feeling the burning sensation in her eyes getting exponentially more painful. It felt like the time she had tried a home highlighting kit and gotten a blob of bleach in her eye.   “Okay, you can sort yourself out,” Caleb said, throwing a roll of toilet paper. Jade did so but had to run to the bathroom to splosh some water into her face. She didn’t see Jay sitting on the toilet as she barged in, half-blind and desperate.   “Erm,” Jay coughed. “Ocupado.”   “Ah,” Jade jumped, turned to see Jay on the toilet and ran out of the bathroom.   “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I didn’t see you,” she babbled as he flushed and joined her in the hallway.   “What the f**k!” he cried.   “I said I was sorry,” Jade cried in response.   “No, not that,” Jay said. “This!”   He pulled up Jade’s skirt, showing off the fresh welts layered on the now green and yellow bruises left by the riding crop.   “Oh, it’s nothing,” Jade muttered, pulling her skirt down to hide the marks, as well as her behind. Why Jay thought he had the right to expose her bum was anyone’s guess. Maybe it was the fact she wouldn’t have minded before a couple of weeks ago, she might even have liked it. But the situation had changed.   “Did my little brother do this?” Jay said, exaggerating the word little in a bid to offend her or make her feel small for seeing his younger sibling. As if age meant anything. They were barely two years apart.   “He did,” Jade replied curtly, “And it was consensual.”   Jay followed her to Caleb’s room, jaw almost hitting the floor. He burst in, throwing accusations.   “You f*****g promised me! You said you wouldn’t f**k her,” Jay was shouting at Caleb.   “Actually, if you recall, what I saw was it was highly unlikely that she would want to f**k me, and I wouldn’t force her.”   “Oh, yeah right, like she wants to do this. You are holding her hostage with what her brother owes you,” Jay argued, becoming red in the face. He paced about the room, waving his arms about like he might smash something. He picked up one of the transformers Jade had acquired recently, whispering, “What the f**k are you up to, man.”   “I paid off that debt already, Jay,” Jade said in a bid to calm him, but it seemed to have the opposite effect.   “Oh, you just love him, do you?” Jay spat. He looked like he was about to throw the electricity transformer at the wall when Caleb spoke up.   “Do you remember dolly?” Caleb asked.   Jade frowned, seeing Jay freeze and the colour drain from his face. With a shaking hand he put the transformer back on top of the pile.   “When we were kids, we used to prank each other,” Caleb explained. “We had this creepy doll, and when Jay was sleeping, I’d put in bed with him… until mum had to hide it in the attic because Jay kept waking her up screaming.”   Jay said nothing, just shuffled from the room like an extra from the walking dead, mumbling something Jade couldn’t make out.   “That was… weird,” Jade said. “He’s not scared of a doll. Surely?”   Caleb shrugged and scoffed.   “Get on your knees, pick that paper up in your mouth and crawl to me,” Caleb demanded out of the blue.   Jade obliged, but couldn’t resist asking, “Did you see Secretary on ITV last night as well?”
