Caleb checked the time and winced. Just past midnight and he still had work to do. The thing in his head liked to talk about the importance of sleep, yet it was happy for him to stay up late if it meant finishing its work.   ‘Can a computer be a hypocrite?’ Caleb questioned. The thing seemed to have a personality and flaws in the same way human beings did, albeit on a smaller scale.   Caleb didn’t like or even understand what he was doing.
