Perin smiled absently at his wife, still feeling the aftermath of his emotions from earlier that day. When he had gotten home and she hadn’t been there he had been incredulous; surely she hadn’t just left?!
It had taken him searching all four of the rooms before he could accept that she wasn’t there, and for a few minutes he just felt bewildered as to what he should do. Then the rage started to build.
He had been surprised by how angry he felt, both at her for leaving and at himself for not being prepared for this situation. He had just been about to charge from the apartment and down to the warrior station to organise a search when she came in the door, throwing him into another emotional tailspin.
His relief was hug
