30. Rowan - Waiting

                The man didn’t come back for what seemed like several hours. Rowan couldn’t tell what time of day or night it was with no external cues, and the fluorescent light was left on the whole time. She dozed a little, the shock and her exhaustion from the previous day making it difficult  for her to keep her eyes open.                 It was cold in the barren room, and she found herself huddling into her coat to keep warm. With nothing else to occupy her thoughts she found herself thinking of Perin, wondering if he was looking for her and if he was angry with her.                 She wondered how long she would be left here in this room; not that she wanted to be taken anywhere else but she was thirsty and hungry.                 She dozed some more, until she was startled
