Perin fought his way back through the crowd of shoving, frightened people, his height and size giving him a real advantage. He hated leaving Rowan by herself but he needed to be following the fire protocols; evacuating people and finding the source of the fire to ensure that the fire suppression systems were working. The smoke had gotten thicker in the last few minutes since he’d been outside, and people were starting to get frightened.
