Rowan sat staring at the application form in front of her on the table. It looked like a pretty standard format; education, qualifications, employment history. The part she was struggling with was the “why do you want to work for us” section. She felt it would be inappropriate to put down the real reason; to provide a diversion from her escape plans. Instead she wrote a long paragraph wittering on about how she wanted to make a difference and contribute to her new society.
Then, because she didn’t want the entire section to be fabricated, she added how she was interested in learning about the physiology of another humanoid species, and why they had this need to ingest blood. She felt a little sad writing this; it really would be interesting to learn
