“Wallace…. P..please open your eyes an…. And look at me…. I… I am Avery…. Y. your dumbwit…. P..please open your eyes.” I pleaded to Wallace while trying to make him remember my nickname. There was no fluctuation in the vital monitor attached to him.
“I can’t give up…. He… he can’t give up.” I gave a peptalk to myself. “Let him go, Avery…. Please, let him go… you know that he is in immense pain…. He is still holding up because of you…. His… his wolf… he… he is still holding up to see you one more time before leaving this world.” Emma pleaded to me in a choked tone.
