“How are you feeling now, honey?” the queen asked me in a sweet tone. I passed a tight smile to her. “I am feeling better now, my queen. Thanks for asking.” I answered her politely, keeping the formality in my tone.
She chuckled and pushed a plate of cookies towards me. “You don’t need to be so formal with me, honey. You already became a part of this family when you got engaged with Xavier. Now, you will be the one who will rule this family after me.” She said to me in the same calm tone.
I smiled this time and took a cookie from the plate. “This is not true, my queen. As my elder, it will be the best for all of us if you keep the leash of this family in your hands. You know them better than me, and I guess, also all the ways how to keep them under control.” I replied to
