I slapped this pathetic excuse of creature one more time, imprinting all my fingers on his face, making him stop to move, and stumbled backward due to the impact of the slap. His face twisted in the other direction. He was now seething in anger. Both Marcus and my father were now standing beside me in a protective stance, ready to pounce on William at any second.
William snapped his head towards me, but grimaced when he saw them. “What did she do wrong to you all these years? Tell me, William… what did she do wrong to you????? She loved you wholeheartedly and always supported you even if you were wrong.” I screamed at the top of my lungs and was about to pounce on him again when Marcus stopped me by wrapping his hand around my upper chest from behind.
