“What exactly are you hiding, Marcus? I got that Avery was your first mate, and finding her corpse and giving her a proper burial is what you should do, but there is something more than this. I can feel that.” I asked Marcus once again in a frustrated tone.
“For the past two hours, we had been standing outside this room where they were performing a postmortem on the corpse that we found on that base. Marcus said that the corpse belonged to Avery Hudson, his first mate.
But….
He looked anxious while watching them examine her remains. This was not only that thing that had intrigued my thought but the surveillance footage of the room where all of them were still lying unconscious there.
He had zoomed the camera on Emma, and that was what had been bothering me for so long
