The Quadriplee Quarters of Heroes had never felt this tense before.
After the disaster at the technical department, security across the entire headquarters had tripled. Students moved carefully through the halls while heroes and guards remained alert at every corner.
Yet despite all the tension…
Nothing happened.
For hours, everything remained strangely calm.
Too calm.
Deep inside the Head Director’s Office, a secret rested beneath the floorboards.
One of the legendary books.
LATOT — The Seventh Division.
And unfortunately for everyone there…
Someone had come to collect it.
Purple smoke suddenly exploded across the outer field.
Students screamed and scattered immediately.
Out of the smoke walked Scarlet Fox herself.
Calm.
Elegant.
Terrifying.
Behind her slithered and crawled her dark creatures, their glowing eyes scanning every direction. But this time, they weren’t killing anyone.
They were simply overpowering people.
Throwing guards aside. Slamming heroes into walls. Rendering everyone helpless.
Several Quadriplees rushed forward to stop them.
“STOP HER!”
A powerful blast slammed toward Scarlet Fox—
—but one of the creatures leapt in front of her instantly, absorbing the hit before hurling the Quadriplee backward across the field.
Another hero tried attacking from above.
A creature grabbed his leg midair and smashed him into the ground.
The creatures moved unnaturally fast.
Almost like they were connected.
Because they were.
Their strength flowed directly from Scarlet Fox herself.
Walking behind Scarlet were two teenagers.
A sharp-looking boy with cold eyes.
And a girl with a confident smirk.
Sniper Fox and Vixen Fox.
Behind them walked their father—
Roger Fox.
Roger stepped closer toward Scarlet as they continued walking through the chaos.
Scarlet sighed dramatically.
“It’s because of you we didn’t kill anyone today.”
Roger adjusted his coat calmly. “I know this isn’t your style, Scarlet. But maybe we should try a different method for once.”
Vixen and Sniper approached them.
Sniper crossed his arms. “So how exactly are we doing this?”
Roger answered immediately.
“We go in. We get the book. We leave.”
Vixen groaned loudly. “Boring.”
Then her expression brightened.
“I still can’t wait to meet my cousin.”
Scarlet’s eyes softened slightly for the first time.
“My daughter is a Full Total,” she said proudly. “Once we get the book, we’ll use it to trace her.”
Sniper frowned slightly. “But if the book disappears again… how do we track her?”
Roger looked toward both teenagers.
“Because you’re Half Totals,” he explained. “There’s a connection between Totals.”
Vixen tilted her head curiously. “Then why can’t you or Aunt Scarlet do it yourselves?”
Scarlet thought for a moment.
Technically… she could.
But then she smirked casually.
“I can,” she replied. “But I’d like to see the two of you do it.”
Both teenagers straightened proudly.
Sniper nodded. “Got it.”
Vixen grinned mischievously. “Easy.”
Ahead of them, Scarlet’s creatures continued clearing paths violently.
One creature grabbed a guard and flung him across the hallway.
Another slammed two students harmlessly against lockers before pinning them down.
Roger sighed as he watched the destruction.
“Can we please just go directly to the book and leave?” he asked. “We’ve already caused enough drama.”
Vixen looked toward Scarlet curiously.
“And if things don’t go well?” she asked. “Like… if they refuse to hand over the book?”
Scarlet answered without hesitation.
“We erase every single one of them to dust.”
Roger coughed awkwardly.
“Uh… we reconstruct relationships,” he corrected quickly.
Scarlet slowly turned toward him.
“What?”
Vixen immediately pointed at Scarlet excitedly.
“I like Auntie Scarlet’s idea better.”
Scarlet proudly waved her hand toward Roger like she had won an argument.
“See?”
Roger closed his eyes briefly in disappointment.
Then Scarlet began walking again.
The others followed.
Roger hesitated for a few seconds behind them before sighing deeply and catching up.
Soon, they reached the massive Head Director’s building.
The entrance was covered by a glowing protective shield.
Scarlet Fox didn’t even slow down.
She walked directly through it.
BOOOOM!!
The shield shattered violently into purple fragments.
The others stepped through the destroyed barrier behind her.
Inside the office, several directors sat around a large meeting table discussing emergency protocols.
Then the doors opened.
Silence.
Every director slowly stood up in fear as Scarlet Fox and her group entered the room.
Scarlet smiled casually.
“Relax,” she said softly. “We didn’t come here to kill you.”
Then she whispered with a smile:
“Unless you make things difficult.”
Fear immediately spread across the room.
Scarlet casually walked around the office, admiring everything.
Then she sat directly in the Head Director’s chair.
“What a lovely meeting you all are having.”
Meanwhile, Vixen and Sniper casually moved around opposite sides of the room while Roger quietly blocked the exit.
The Head Director swallowed nervously.
“Scarlet Fox… I-I will call Merson.”
Scarlet slowly looked at him.
“Excuse me?”
Purple energy flickered around her fingers.
“You’ll call Merson?” she repeated. “Was that supposed to threaten me?”
Nobody answered.
Scarlet leaned forward slightly.
“I’ll make this simple.”
“There’s a book called LATOT: The Seventh Division.”
Her eyes glowed faintly purple.
“And we traced it here.”
The directors exchanged confused looks.
“So…” Scarlet continued calmly, “if you all enjoy breathing… you’ll tell me where it is.”
The Head Director shook nervously.
“I don’t know what book you’re talking about.”
Scarlet stared at him silently for several seconds.
Then suddenly—
She smiled.
“Fine,” she said softly. “I believe you.”
The directors looked confused.
Scarlet slowly stood up.
“But maybe somebody else here knows.”
She turned toward the entire room.
“Anybody?”
Silence.
Nobody spoke.
The directors genuinely looked confused.
Scarlet sighed dramatically.
“Well… this is awkward.”
She slowly removed one glove.
“No one knows where the book is…”
Her purple eye lenses suddenly activated.
“…yet someone clearly hid it.”
Her voice darkened.
“So I’ll squeeze the truth out of all of you.”
Suddenly—
Purple smoke exploded around the directors.
SHHHHHHHHH!!
Sharp smoky edges wrapped around their necks and bodies like blades.
The directors screamed instantly.
“WE DON’T KNOW!”
“PLEASE!”
“I HAVE CHILDREN!”
“I HAVE A WIFE!”
The smoke tightened harder.
Some directors began choking violently.
Scarlet watched calmly.
“Well,” she said thoughtfully, “I’ll try to explain to your families that you died protecting something you didn’t even understand.”
The room filled with coughing and panic.
Roger rubbed his forehead tiredly.
“This is exactly what I was trying to avoid…”
Meanwhile—
Sniper and Vixen’s eye lenses suddenly flashed bright blue.
Images rapidly flickered through their minds.
The room layout.
Energy trails.
Hidden compartments.
Then—
Under the table.
Inside the floor.
Their eyes returned to normal.
Sniper immediately pointed downward.
“We found it.”
Scarlet turned.
“Oh?”
Sniper smirked slightly. “The book’s under the floor beneath the table.”
Scarlet instantly released the smoke.
The directors collapsed coughing heavily, gasping for air in relief.
Scarlet clapped her hands once.
“Woohoo. Congratulations. You survived.”
She pointed toward them casually.
“You should really give an offering at church after this.”
Then she looked toward the table.
Scarlet slowly raised her hand.
The massive meeting table suddenly lifted into the air.
The directors screamed and jumped backward.
Then—
BOOOOM!!
The entire table blasted through the gigantic glass window behind them and crashed down into the field outside.
Wind rushed violently into the office.
Scarlet flicked her fingers again.
CRRRRKKKKK.
The floor split apart.
Hidden beneath it…
Was the book.
LATOT: THE SEVENTH DIVISION.
Scarlet smiled slowly.
“There you are.”
The ancient book floated upward into her hand.
The directors stood frozen in fear.
Scarlet dusted imaginary dirt off the cover.
“Well gentlemen,” she said politely, “you’ve all been wonderfully helpful.”
She gave a small bow.
“Have a beautiful day.”
Purple smoke suddenly exploded around Scarlet Fox, Roger, Vixen, Sniper, and all the creatures.
Within seconds—
They vanished completely.
Leaving behind only destruction…
And terrified directors struggling to breathe.
