The Bloodline Revelation

The field of the technical department looked like a nightmare frozen in motion. Bodies lay scattered across the ground while cleanup teams moved quickly, placing them into black body bags with grim efficiency. The air was heavy, tense, and suffocating. Merson, Kaiden, Schizzel, Mirabel, and William rushed into the scene, stopping abruptly as they took in the devastation. Merson turned sharply to one of the cleanup workers. “What happened here?” The man shook his head quickly, wiping sweat from his face. “I don’t know… when we arrived, it was already a mess.” Without wasting another second, the group pushed forward into the main building. Inside, more people were gathered—Derek, Clarence, and the others, all visibly shaken. Derek’s eyes widened. “Dad!” At the same time, Louise ran forward. “Dad!” Both of them collided into Merson’s arms, hugging him tightly. For a brief moment, the chaos outside didn’t exist. Clarence leaned toward Ava and whispered, “You know… for a guy like Merson, I didn’t think he could be a loving father.” Ava whispered back, “Me either.” Merson finally pulled away, his face serious again. “So… what happened here?” Derek exhaled shakily. “The lady came in… with those creatures of hers. She’s been killing people even before she reached us.” “We tried to stop her,” Derek continued, “but the teenagers at the back… the boy and girl… they were distorting our powers.” Merson frowned. “Distorting your powers?” Clarence stepped forward. “Yes. They’re half Totals.” The word hit like thunder. Mirabel, William, Kaiden, Schizzel, and Merson all exchanged stunned looks. Derek continued carefully, “Yeah… Dad… we know T.L. is a Full Total. She had the same marks described in the book… especially the crown mark on her back.” Mirabel immediately stepped forward. “Show us the book.” Lena suddenly walked in front of Mirabel. “Mum…” Mirabel turned instantly, her expression softening. “Lena.” They hugged tightly. Lena then looked toward William. “Dad… what are you guys doing here?” James looked between them in shock. “Wait… Mum and Dad… really?” Lena nodded awkwardly. “I was going to introduce you to them… but then all this started happening.” Mirabel gently held Lena’s shoulder. “We’re here because of an important mission.” Lena nodded slowly. “Okay…” Mirabel turned toward Clarence. “The book.” Clarence adjusted her glasses. “I digitized it.” She activated a hologram projector. Ancient writings filled the air above them alongside symbols and sketches—including the terrifying crown mark of a Full Total. Jones’ writings described a Full Total as something catastrophic. A world weapon of destruction. Kennedy swallowed hard. “Wow…” Jersey rubbed his neck nervously. “That’s insane…” Ava whispered, “She has one hell of a power…” Mirabel turned toward everyone. “There’s something all of you need to know. But this information does not leave this room. Understood?” Everyone nodded. “Understood.” William still looked hesitant. “Should they really know all this?” Merson answered firmly. “Yes.” Schizzel nodded. “They’ve earned it. They found the books and digitized one of them. They’re smart.” William sighed heavily. “Fine.” Everyone moved into a large lounge area filled with sofa seats and sat down. James groaned dramatically. “Do we really have to sit for this one?” Kaiden leaned back casually. “Oh yes. Because when I heard this story, my head almost exploded. But you guys are young… you’ll survive.” A tense silence fell across the room. Then Mirabel began. “That woman you saw today… the one with the creatures… her name is Scarlet Fox.” Kennedy immediately reacted. “Whoa… that name alone sounds dangerous.” Lena elbowed him lightly. “Quiet.” Mirabel continued. “She is a Quad Total. But she was not always like this.” “The first generation of heroes consisted of Merson, Schizzel, Kaiden… and Scarlet Fox. They fought together. Saved lives together.” “But during one mission… they fought a beast man.” Mirabel paused. “And he took Scarlet Fox.” The atmosphere instantly darkened. “When she returned… she was no longer the Scarlet Fox we knew. She became cold… unstable… and far more powerful.” Ava folded her arms. “So… good turned bad?” “Yes,” Mirabel replied softly. “But there’s more.” “The beast… slept with Scarlet Fox.” Several shocked reactions filled the room. “And Scarlet became even stronger… before eventually killing him.” Silence. “But she was pregnant.” Jersey muttered quietly, “Evil child…” Mirabel immediately shook her head. “No.” “That child stayed with Scarlet Fox for five years.” Kennedy looked confused. “I thought she’d kill her own child… considering she turned evil.” Ava frowned at him. “That’s still her child.” Mirabel nodded. “Exactly.” “She loved her daughter. But Scarlet had plans for her. Dangerous plans.” “That child was born from a one-in-a-lifetime beast and a Quad Total. Her power was destined to become unimaginable.” William crossed his arms. “We realized we couldn’t stop Scarlet if she kept the child.” Mirabel’s expression darkened. “So… we took her.” Everyone listened carefully. “I personally raised her for two years. But when she turned seven… I erased her memories. Memories of Scarlet Fox… and memories of me.” Ava’s eyes widened. Mirabel continued quietly, “Then I left her at Star Haven Orphanage.” The room froze. Shine whispered, “Star Haven…” Ava slowly looked around. “Wait… are we talking about the one person in the orphanage who never remembered where she came from?” James slowly nodded. “Yeah…” The tension became unbearable. Schizzel finally spoke. “It’s T.L.” Silence. Complete silence. Kaiden sighed. “Yeah… that was my reaction too when Mirabel first told us.” Ava stared blankly. “Wait… so my best friend T.L… is the daughter of Scarlet Fox?” Mirabel answered carefully. “If you put it like that, it sounds wrong—” “How else am I supposed to put it?” Ava interrupted. James looked disturbed. “T.L. doesn’t even know who her mother is…” Lena stayed completely silent. Ava panicked softly. “That woman who broke through the forcefield… is T.L.’s mother?” Lacey held her stomach. “I think I’m gonna throw up…” Mirabel looked around the room carefully. “That’s not all.” Ava blinked rapidly. “There’s more?!” James sighed. “Of course there’s more…” Mirabel nodded slowly. “T.L.’s full name… is not T.L.” The room became quiet again. William stepped forward beside her. “Her real name is… Total Fox.” Kennedy’s jaw dropped. “Whoa…” Lena blinked. “Total… Fox?” Clarence suddenly snapped her fingers in realization. “That explains it,” she said. “I always thought T.L. was some kind of abbreviation. T.L… Total… it actually makes sense now.” Kennedy shook his head slowly. “Scarlet Fox naming her child Total Fox is actually crazy.” Ava looked disturbed. “Especially now that we know she’s a Full Total too…” James leaned back against the sofa. “So all this time… her name was literally connected to what she is.” Nobody spoke for a moment. The weight of the revelation settled heavily across the room. Then Mirabel looked directly at Lena. “Lena… this next part is for you.” Lena frowned. “For me?” Mirabel nodded. “You are not a Tribrid.” Lena froze. “What?” William answered for her. “You are a Hexadriple.” The room exploded with reactions. James blinked repeatedly. “She’s a what?!” Kennedy whistled loudly. “Man… this school is full of secrets.” William sighed. “We hid it to protect you. We also told Merson never to fully test your powers.” Merson nodded. “We followed orders. But we never knew the full story.” Mirabel inhaled slowly. “And Scarlet Fox…” She hesitated. “…is my younger sister.” Everything stopped. Lena’s eyes widened slowly. “So that woman…” she whispered. “The woman that attacked us… is my aunt?” Mirabel quickly stood. “Lena, it’s not like that—” “Oh really?” Lena interrupted with a frustrated laugh. “Because right now it feels exactly like that.” Nobody answered. Lena rubbed her forehead dramatically. “Are there any other secrets you people wanna tell me?” she asked. “Or should we just go ahead and say James is my brother too and we should stop dating?” The entire room froze. James nearly jumped out of his seat. “WAIT—WHAT?!” Kennedy burst into loud laughter immediately. “Nahhh, that would actually be insane!” Ava covered her mouth trying not to laugh while Schizzel turned away chuckling. Mirabel blinked repeatedly. “You… have a boyfriend?” James awkwardly raised his hand. “Okay, in my defense—” “Don’t,” Lena warned instantly, pointing at him. “At this point I’m scared of every new revelation.” Even Kaiden laughed quietly while William rubbed his forehead in exhaustion. “No,” William finally said. “James is not your brother.” James released the biggest sigh of relief ever. “Thank God.” Lena dropped dramatically back onto the sofa. “Good. Because this day is already stressful enough.” Ava smiled sympathetically at her friend while the tension eased slightly. Then Shine frowned thoughtfully. “Wait… so if Scarlet Fox is Mirabel’s sister… and she’s Lena’s aunt…” Jersey suddenly got the realization. “Ohhh…” Ava looked confused. “What?” Jersey pointed slowly upward. “That means T.L. is Lena’s cousin.” Lena blinked rapidly. “Wait… I have a cousin?” Mirabel nodded slowly. “Yes.” The room exploded into reactions once again. “But that’s not all,” Mirabel added. Everyone groaned dramatically. “There are two more cousins. A boy and a girl.” Lena stared blankly. “You people seriously don’t know how to give small information.” A few people laughed nervously. Mirabel continued. “They are the children of my brother.” Lena blinked again. “You have a brother too?” “Only one,” Mirabel answered. “His name is Roger.” Clarence suddenly remembered the battle. “When Scarlet Fox attacked us… there was also a man and two teenagers with her,” she said. Mirabel nodded. “Yes. Roger and his children. The two half Totals.” Kennedy leaned back in disbelief. “This family is literally filled with Totals.” Mirabel sighed. “I am a Quad Total. Scarlet Fox is a Quad Total. And Roger… is a Hexadriple.” James smirked toward Lena. “So… Uncle Roger?” Lena instantly used telekinesis to shove him off the sofa. “Shut up.” The room burst into laughter. Clarence finally spoke quietly. “Even Jones herself wrote that she had never seen a Full Total before.” Lena sat silently afterward. Her thoughts raced endlessly. Scarlet Fox. Her aunt. T.L.—or rather Total Fox—her cousin. The half Totals. Roger. And herself. Not a Tribrid. A Hexadriple. Everything she thought she knew about herself had changed in a single night.
