He knew Dad had fought in it (a part of him still called him Daddy, but that sounded babyish to his eleven-year-old ears), had been part of the American forces that had beaten down That Awful Man (as Mother always called him) and his soldiers. But Billy did remember Dad going to Korea a few years ago. Dad hadn’t been there to fight, that time—he was something called an advisor, which Billy guessed was kind of like an officer, but one working with someone else’s army.
