Thalia My pulse hammered against my ribs, confusion twisting inside me. One part of me wanted to shove him back, to reclaim some control, while another part ached to pull him closer, to sink into the warmth of his body. His low voice slipped through my defenses, making it harder to hold on to the little restraint I had left. The fever still lingered, leaving my skin flushed and far too sensitive.
