Leaving to the door in a fast pace.
"Aren't you going to save your father's house?" Jack yelled.
Even though he could get another lady to do it, he felt he should never let her go.
Then he stood up.
"They will claim your father's property, Just like you said, It's the only thing he's left for you, beside you said you'd do anything to save it."
It turned Nina's heart like a bite from bees, she held her chest, tears dripped her eyes.
"Stop! stop!" She yelled and squatted on her knees beside the door.
"Is that why I should get married to you who I don't know! How more pervertic can you be!"
Jack chuckled at her innocence.
"Look here, it's just an understanding. You need money, and I need someone to act as my wife for my family for some days, I will pay you and it will be over, then you go your way and I go mine."
"This is insane!"
"I'm out of here!" She muttered and stood abruptly rushing out of the building.
She hopped on her scooter. But to go where exactly? to the house that will be dragged away from her in some days.
She couldn't wear her helmet as series of thoughts overwhelmed her.
She breathed in heavily leaving her helmet on the scooter's handle.
---------------
"We go our separate ways after the required days right? then I'm in." She pronounced.
Jack smiled slightly.
"Alright sit."
"There, sign it."
He gave her a paper.
"Is this really necessary."
"Yes it is, it only necessary to point out how the contract will go.!"
"{Nina, marriage contract, how amusing.}" She thought.
"Okay."
"Read through it."
"Yea acting as your wife for days, alright." She muttered and signed at once without anymore thoughts.
"Alright so that's it."
Jack sealed the contract paper and kept among his books.
"Welcome wiffy, I hope you do a better job."
"Yea yea.. anything to earn money." Nina replied.
"So when am I starting? I need to go prepare."
"Now I have to be explaining everything to her." Jack breathed.
"You never read the paper, do you?How lazy."
"What's there to read anymore, just act as your wife and you pay me."
Jack chuckled.
"You did not read the conditions, and just went ahead to sign it. Is that how you secure contracts?".
"Hun," Nina's eyes opened wide.
"Well.. your contract starts now just as it's written in the contract, meaning, you are going no where!"
"No that's not possible." Nina laughed hysterically.
"What about my scooter outside! what do you want me to do with it! scrap it?! leave it outside to get stolen?!!" Nina yelled at top of her voice.
"Do you love it that much?!"
"My dad got it for me and it's not a joke!"
Jack chuckled at her cute angry face.
"Your dearest scooter is being taken care of."
"Taken care of??! How!"
"Relax now Dear Wife."
"Dear wife?! I'm not even your wife."
Jack laughed sarcastically.
"You can't be my wife dear, I have high taste you know."
"What?! High taste! Are you perhaps saying.. omg," Nina fan herself with her hand.
"Well, I've got high standards more than you can imagine!" She slammed back.
Jack chuckled at her heated face.
"Hey Mr Cold, I really need to go, my clothes aren't here!"
"Mr Cold?!" Jack muttered after her.
He looked up amused at her, but Nina gave him a glaring side eye which got him smiling.
Without saying anything further, he brought out the paper.
"Read it well now. But unfortunately, nothing can be changed, you can't go back on your words cos it's already signed."
"What?! I'm moving into your house?! and for a month?!" She screamed at top of her lungs.
Jack looked up at her while attending to his mails.
"No I can't do this. like how will I move to your house! we aren't married for real! why do I need to live at your house! You need to speak up if you have any intention."
"Intention?" Jack chuckled.
"Like I said, you are no where near my type. Go on, read." he signaled to the paper.
"Meeting your parents, well that's okay, since that's the major reason."
"Eti.. what?? Etiquettes. What's that. Well.. it's enough. If washing and wearing this same clothes doesn't matter to you.. then I'm here now and hope to be done soon" She muttered and handed him his papers.
"Alright wife."
"Don't call me that."
"But you are my wife."
"Fake wife?"
Jack laughed and stood up to go. Nina followed suit.
"I can't ask where we are going cos my life is not mine right now."
"That's right wife."
They both took his private elevator and end up at his own parking lots. They both sat in his BMW Model limited edition and he drove off.
They get to a building somewhat like a castle.
"Where's this place?" She asked.
"Welcome Sir, this way." before Jack could answer her, the clerk officers came greeting and ushering him in.
"To see your business partners while I didn't even get to freshen up?".
"No we are here to get what we need."
"And what is that?"
"It's here." He muttered.
"Welcome, Mr and Mrs Yates, you both are match made in heaven."
Nina shooked her head vigorously
"No Sir, we are not marri.."
Jack held her hand.
"Thank you, can we get what we came here for?" Jack stated with his cold eyes glittering at the old man
"Ah yes yes.".. He muttered vigorously bringing out the paper.
"Sign please."
"A marriage certificate! What! Why!" She yelled.
The old man cleared his throat and left them.
"We need it wife, How can we convince my parents without this?"
Nina understood but this was too much anyways.
"Don't worry, we destroy it after a month."
"Okay." She muttered weakly.
"{Nina hang in there, it's just a month.}" She consoled herself.
"Hey Mr Cold it mustn't pass a month as agreed." She voiced with her eyes glaring at Jack, then alert popped up on her phone.
