Despite the fact that she was sound asleep next to me, I could not stop glancing at her face and was unable to fall asleep. Due to the fact that I recognize the need to respect it, I made sure that there was a gap between us. She had been tossing and turning for an hour prior to falling asleep next to me, so when she did, I was startled to see her fast asleep. This made me wonder if perhaps I had done something wrong because she seemed to be having a hard time falling asleep a few minutes ago while I was trying to pretend to sleep the whole time she was not.
