We were sitting in the stands at this empty basketball court when Archer blurted out those things allegedly about him that immediately grabbed my attention, most of all, the fact that he had this really depressing expression in his eyes and was fixated on the veggie wrap in his hand. Perhaps since he was aware that his goals were probably not for selfish reasoning, he was devastated that he had been called self-centered and selfish.
You also know that no matter how many wonderful comments and compliments you receive, one bad comment will perpetually remain lingering in the back of your head despite all the favorable ones.
