It was a beautiful afternoon spent with my boyfriend’s family while I helped his mother around as she told me many things about Archer and how he was a child and growing up. As the sun went down and the dinner table was set, the atmosphere felt light and carefree as we gathered around the table for our New Year’s Day feast. There was joyous laughter and cheerful chatter filled the air making it warmer than it already is. The dishes that Josephine had cooked were amazing, which made me realize that Archer was a good cook because he got it from his mother.
