Aria's initiation

I am standing in the Gates of Lakesland. I feel like I am part of some parallel universe. I dont know where to go. all i can think about is how beautiful these Gates are. they are 10 yard high and looking like one big rock make of hundreds of little icebergs which made perfect structure. With my pale hand i decided to touch one iceberg. the whitest, the smallest, the glossiest of them all. i wanted to know is it real or is it illusion. as soon as i touched the iceberg. Gates opened. I entered. As i am walking down the stoned pavement i can see girl standing by the apple tree. She is looking at me judgementaly. i am coming closer to the apple tree. girl is approaching me. She has fair skin, beutiful long blonde hair. its almost white. on her head she has crown of pink roses. i can see her hands. they look so magical. it is if their touch could heal any wound.but i cant see her legs. she wears long white gown which has lace with white pearls on her chest. gown so long it seems like she doesnt even use legs to move. "hi, you are the new fairy right? i am Vita. Whats your name?"- girl asked "hey, yes, yes. i am. i just found that out too." i smiled awkwardly " I am Aria, nice to meet you." "you too. i was sent to show you around, tell you how things work around here and prepare you for meeting with Queen." "that is great. wait, how do you mean prepare, and You have queen?! i asked in shock "yes, well she is just guiding us you know. we are one family here, we have rules and you have to respect them. many of us dont have family, so we are all to have to each other and she is like a mother to us."-Vita explained "i get it, i hope i will fit in in your family." - i said hopefully "You will, Aria, dont you worry"- she said while she hugged me. we were walking for quite some time then she said: "Aria, were here. now youre going to learn what it means to be a true fairy, be true fairy, act like a true fairy." i was shocked and scared. feelings of paranoia started to consume me,but i could keep it together. We were standing in front of a cave. It was low, and dark and all i could see were gates with spikes in a shape of a triangle. There was no lock on a gates. There was some plant, it looked like it comes from inside of cave, like it's protecting the cave. I was too scared to ask for name, not like it matters. "Are you ready" Vita asked "sure, but where are we going, what are we doing" " i am in charge for first stage of your initiation process, so dont be scared. We are just going to grab something and get out, alright" "alright, lets go." We came closer to the cave and what i saw amazed me. Vita used her finger to draw moon in the middle of the gates. Gates opened. We are walking to the center of the cave. I am feeling like we are in tunnel. Everything is dark and full of flying creatures. Is it moth, is it butterfly, is it something else; I can't tell, i can't see. We are walking for about 2km i would say. I am tired. " are we there yet "- i asked Vita Vita is silent. after two more minutes of she says - " here we are"We are standing in the center of the cave. its rather light room considering situation. There was no window or balcony; light came strictly through candles. There must have been 50 candles that lit the room. I could see the ivory white ancient closet with engraved pink tulips in every corners from the right side. i could see shelf full of poison bottles. Vita was searching for something. bottles were in different colors and i do not know use of any one of them nor what is in them. i am patiently observing while vita is searching. i see white, then i see green. Vita does not care for those. Then I see brown one. I recognize the bottle. its the same bottle, with the same structure which led me here. This must be pixie dust. I see yellow and blue next in line. Vita choose yellow. some kind of feeling is rising inside of me. I do not trust her. Next in line of bottles are red in black. She takes both of them. i am going back step by step so she wouldnt notice, slowly and safely. oh, what a bad desicion. in a second that i turned around to go into tunnel, she snapped her finger and all the creautures are coming around me. they are circiling me, and they are bringing me closer to the room. Vita claps her hands and another gates drops. "There will be no escape you dont have to even try. also, this have to be done so we can continue the process" She took yellow pixie dust or as she calls it LIGHT OF THOUSAND SUNS .She formed a circle out of pixie dust. She used it to draw sun in the center of the circle. " stand in the circle" she said. " what are you going to do to me? Are you going to kill me?" i asked while tear is rolling down my face.

" im sorry, Aria, but you know i have to do this. Think of this as cleansing"

" explain what are you doing"

" Aria you are in first stage of your initiation. so in this stage you have to pass this purification process. its process where we fairies cleanse your soul from sins of your past world. it must be like this because we really are pure creatures. do you understand?"

"i do" i said as i stood in the circle

Vita is holding my hands as she is watching me deep in the eyes, as she is watching me longer, and longer her eyes are turning whiter and whiter and circle is burning brighter. Purifiation process is draing me completely. She is in every my memory, in every thing i did. And i can feel that she is erasing it all. Vitas eyes are blue egain, and i am empty but i feel free.

"how do you feel" Vit asks

" i feel good, i feel free, but i dont remember anything"

" that is all magic of purification, you are pure now. just remember, dont cross on the dark side or the next side you will pay price for purification and it will hurt."

"what is dark side"

"the less you know the better. now we must go to the Altar of Light. Queen Zara is waiting.

we walked for hours before we came.

Finnaly we are here. all the fairies and sprites are standing forming a circle around the Altar of Light. Queen is in the middle. they are singing, i cant understand.

"everybody welcome our new fairy to be." everybody applaused

circle opened so Vita and i could come near queen. Queen Zara was tall pale skinned fairy. she was the oldest of all, yet the prettiest of all. she was the only one who had the golden dress, and and in her forehead there was jewel. Jewel so bright, jet so grey. Vita gave her the remained pixie dust and told me to stay near queen Zara.

"welcome beloved people of Lakeland. Tonight we are going to complete initiaton process so Aria, our young pretty fairy could join us in our home, in our family. We once again will call upon the moon for the power and for the stars for eternal beauty."-queen spoken softly

"what does this mean, we will call for power and beauty" i asked

" every night we pray to moon for power and to stars for beauty. War is just around the corner. its just matter of time. and we will be ready. Aria, we draw all our power from the moon and stars and we draw it almost every night, every month."- she continues to speak softly

"almost every night of every month, what does that mean Queen Zara"

" we do not draw power of the moon on the night of the Full moon. i will answer you before you ask another question. We cant. we are not alone. If we would do that we would be destroyed in one way or another."

"well who is there besides us"

queen said nothing. everybody started looking down. shoud not have asked i thought to myself.

Queen said " its a stroke of midnight. its a time for second phase of initiation." she spoke loud as she raised her hands.

Queen first formed circle with black pixie dust bottle and said: "With this remains of Soul of last Dark fairy i call upon nature to protect you from all darkness"

then Queen wrote my name into circle and said: " With this Blood of Fallen fairies and sprites i call upon your ancesters to send you wings that will be good part of you Aria and your personality"

finally the last step came ;she used her own golden pixie dust. " With this dust of shooting star i call upon you, moon to give Aria power and to you stars to give her eternal beauty"

jewel on her head was shining brighter and brighter .

" its time. Aria you must lay on Altar of Light."

"dear my fairies and sprites lets sing our song while initiation lasts"

they started holding hands, and they started singing:

"shine bright our dear moon,

we pray you give us power for upcoming wars.

starry stars lay your shine on us,

give eternal shine to every and last one of us."

i layed, i hear them singing around me. their voice is calming it could lure you to do something you normally would not do. i felt like something inside of me is changing. i felt good. i felt confident. i felt weak, yet strong. i feel like i am prepared for all that war they all have been talking about. Shine started shining in my face. I could feel something is changing i dont know what. is it beauty is it wings, is it power. i open my eyes. i am in the white gown, just like real fairy. fairy with a backpain. Vita told me i got wings. Vita said i have to think about them so they would appear. so I tought about them. and they they were. wings. i was like a butterfly. i have sharp wings, they are burning red color with one black line one every wing. queen says wings speaks about your soul, even the parts you dont know you posses. What does my wings say about me?
