Everything felt frozen like my brain had completely stopped working and my body had decided to follow as we held each other's gaze after pulling away. I didn't know why but the rate at which my heart was beating grew two folds.
I pushed myself up so fast I nearly slipped again, scrambling off his body and stepping back.
