WE SPEND THE NEXT HALF hour looking at the Acutis Society’s impressive work. They’ve obviously spent hundreds of man hours on this project, and the quality of workmanship is evident.
“Dominic,” I say as we finish looping through the rooms, “You all have done an amazing job.”
“Yes, Dominic,” Martin says. “Amazing.”
“The kids are going to love this,” Miriam says.
“Thank you, but really, I’m just a laborer,” he says. “Nate and Gladys, and Larry, they did the design work. They drew up the plans and figured out where everything would go.”
“Is there going to be anything upstairs?”
“No, just downstairs,” Dominic says. “Tim Cooper advised that, while the upstairs is structurally sound, it was not advisable to have a lot of people walking around up there.”
“Well, he’s the architect,” Martin
